Scaling
When using the lettering tool, scaling of the font is controlled by allowing a scaling percentage range.
If you try to further decrease or increase the font size outside the lettering tool, the result might not embroider correctly.
The lettering tool will allow you to scale Apex Lake down to 80% for a size of approximatively 46.4 mm (1.81 in), and up to 130% for a size of approximatively 75.4 mm (2.94 in).
The lettering tool will allow you to scale Apex Simple AGS down to 75% for a size of approximatively 25.2 mm (0.98 in), and up to 130% for a size of approximatively 43.68 mm (1.7 in).
The lettering tool will allow you to scale Apex Simple Small AGS down to 20% for a size of approximatively 6.72 mm (0.26 in), and up to 35% for a size of approximatively 11.76 mm (0.46 in).
Special features
Apex Lake est quite a large ornemental font. Each letter comes with a square frame.
If you do not wish to embroider the frame, skip the last two colors.
If you wish to use the frame for an appliqué, use a copy of the penultimate path to stitch your fabric.
In order to avoid messy overlays, the background pattern is incomplete in most of the letters. However would you wish to use it as a decoration, you can find it complete in the J cap.
Apex Lake and Apex Simple work well together, usually using Apex Lake pour the first letter and Apex Simple AGS for the leftover:
Contrarily to Apex Simple, Apex Simple Small font MUST be embroidered with thread and needle smaller than usual. A USA 8 (EUR 60) size needle, and 60WT thread MUST be used.
