Stitch library butterfly template

This templates serves as a versatile template for the sample images within the stitch library.

Usage

• Download the butterfly template
• Copy the template before reworking. This way you can develope multiple versions.
• Open the copy of the template with Inkscape. You will now see the original image and the outline for the cutting machine.
• Open the layers and objects dialog and hide the layer with the original image and display the layer with the prepared embroidery paths.
• Begin your creative process

Plotter

• Cutting lines for the card (A6) with the butterfly outline
• Cutting (and embossing) lines for a butterfly envelope
• A7 cutting line (card without fold). Can be used for the inside to cover the fabric
• Template for cutting the fabric

Embroidery

• Fill: use for fill patterns
• Detail: Lines for cutting the fill area
  • simple: cut fill into two or four sections
  • complex: more detailed sections
• Outlines: a selection of borders for the butterfly. Every border is a bean stitch.
  • Simple Outline: simple outline
  • Simple Redwork: simple outline, dividing top and bottom wings
  • Complex Redwork: outline following wing details
• Satin: a simple satin column for the body of the butterfly
