Stitch library butterfly template
This templates serves as a versatile template for the sample images within the stitch library.
Usage
- Download the butterfly template
- Copy the template before reworking. This way you can develope multiple versions.
- Open the copy of the template with Inkscape. You will now see the original image and the outline for the cutting machine.
- Open the layers and objects dialog and hide the layer with the original image and display the layer with the prepared embroidery paths.
- Begin your creative process

Plotter
- Cutting lines for the card (A6) with the butterfly outline
- Cutting (and embossing) lines for a butterfly envelope
- A7 cutting line (card without fold). Can be used for the inside to cover the fabric

Embroidery
- Fill: use for fill patterns
- Detail: Lines for cutting the fill area
- simple: cut fill into two or four sections
- complex: more detailed sections
- Outlines: a selection of borders for the butterfly. Every border is a bean stitch.
